“I hired Kristina to brainstorm a way to transform the energy/use of space within my business. I own a dance studio for children that has been in existence for over 55 years. Since the business has been through several owners and lots of foot traffic, I wanted to create a fresh new environment that was more in sync with my present goals and vision. I wanted something more current, more functional for students/teachers to be there all day. I wanted the studio to look professional and timeless with an artistic personality. I sat with Kristina to give her some of our needs, colors I was drawn to and the feeling I was hoping to create. Kristina was familiar with my aesthetic as well as my business, she even studied some of the studio photos I gave her. When Kristina came back, she had some really wonderful sketches and visuals for our inspiration. She has such a wonderful ability to absorb any person’s style, and evolve it so that it still feels close enough to who you are but a level up in quality. The best part was that Kristina was very aware of my means and my budget. She even had several options of advice on how to accomplish our look within our financial means. This also gave me the freedom to decide what avenue would work best for us. The design she presented was fresh, clean, bold and contemporary. While the overall idea was exactly what I wanted or hoped for in my mind, there were several surprises and little nuances that I hadn’t thought of. She suggested some colors to add to our palate to create a neutral but warm energy without being too trendy. She had some great ideas for branding where we could incorporate our studio name or logo with style. She even had some advice for mixing textures to achieve the “industrial” feel without it feeling too cold within our business. She helped give us ideas to downsize the clutter and organize merchandise in a chic lobby store instead of hiding it in storage. She provided us with some functional design plans that still had style AND allowed us to display information as well as store dancers belongings. Kristina even helped us re-configure our furniture and inspired us to design a custom front welcome desk to have a better “flow” for the clientele when they walk in. When we took on this renovation, I used almost all of her ideas. Although very few of the ideas didn’t come out exactly as suggested, her inspirations and visuals gave us the rest of the inspiration to create a similar effective change. Kristina was really wonderful in responding to any inquiries I had about options along the way. And when it came time to get some of the jobs done, she even had contacts I could reach out to for help. I am so thrilled with the way our studio renovation came out. It feels like a brand-new high quality space. The enviornment matches they way I feel about the service we provide and better yet, I know I accomplished this upgrade on a realistic budget. I can’t recommend Kristina enough for any interior design needs.”
