Ringwood House: Kitchen, Before

The Ringwood House kitchen was separated from the rest of the house, with a view of the neighbors side yard.  I wanted to open up the space so that the kitchen could be featured when you walked into the house, and part of the entertaining space.  Additionally, I wanted to change the window view, so that you could look out to the mountains and backyard.

Ringwood House: Kitchen, After

Fortunately, the wall dividing the living room and kitchen was not load bearing, so we were able to get rid of it completely.  Losing that wall and doing a consistent wood flooring throughout really transformed the space.  Moving the window, new cabinetry, quartzite and butcher block counter tops, with a glass backsplash and farmhouse sink made for a modern, country kitchen.
